Found an awesome app for my phone today, super excited about it too, if you couldn't tell. Now I can listen to all the top songs of any year I want. Are you jealous yet? I've been rocking out to 80's music all weekend, Love the 80's!!!! It's kind of weird listening to music that was popular 20 years ago and realizing that it's been 20 years. Sometimes I feel like I just started listening to these songs a few days ago. Some of them just never get old and no matter how long it's been since you've heard them you still remember all the words. That is one of the greatest moments in life if you ask me.
It's kind of cool the power a song can have. It can take you back to an exact moment in time, and remind you just how far you've come. Lately I've been hearing a lot of songs I listened to in middle school and it's kind of spooky. On one hand I'm starting to feel old for the first time in my life. On the other a huge wash of nostalgia hits me like a freight train. One song is all it takes to make me miss my childhood. One song is all it takes to make me want to grow up. It's crazy how music can evoke so many feelings and memories in each of us. Life without your favorite music would be a very dull life indeed.
